Our new SEO Web Design is coded and ready to go. We are just waiting on the blog coding, so transition will be seamless. The items on the right side navigation are going to change fro HTML pages and in the blog section will have plug-in modules for WordPress. It will be a much bigger, easier to read and simple website to navigate.  The new design will also be very seo friendly, light, clean and fast loading. Display will be liquid at 900px wide. Check out the website design mock-up below.

We recently lost our coder so we have been using other services. We are in our second run with companies now doing our own site and two other side projects. The new website design should be ready in another day. The company we are using made a few errors the first job we gave but fixed them so we are giving them one last shot to see how they perform. The new site will be much bigger and easier to read. It will also be uniform from home to blog with no real difference, accept for plug-ins.

We have also decided to build and release a new WordPress Theme. It will be  based on a blend of our new design and standard looking WP themes. Our new Theme will be built with a lot of SEO in mind, free  on our site +the WP’s themes directory,  and also open source for you to use or modify as you please.

Well it looks like Google has updated again. Have you been watching your back links or Page Rank lately? You may have seen changes in both in the last week. I think this is from another Google update. Although who really knows besides the people at “G”.

If you have been looking at you links. You will notice the back-links they used to show do not show up anymore when you do the link command in Google search. Just put the command in the search box we used our site below.

The other thing we is Page Rank has been jumping around and has now changed  a number of our web pages. I know that PR is always flowing but we normally don’t see those changes in the bar so when we do it usually means an update. Watch the search engine rankings and i bet you will see a few changes as well!

I Would hold off on adjustments until we are all sure that this is an update and the algorithm has been analyzed by a few seo’s. Many times fluctuations settle down after a week anyway so there is need to do a lot of until then.

Another change we are still “on the fence about” is moving away from Google Analytics to try Quantcast tracking. Quantcast will provide us direct,  more accurate audience measurement of our web site traffic. The data looks better about than Google and I am more than a little disgusted with them (changing rules in the middle of the game). The final factor is Analytics is just too slow!!!

The types of apps we will develop will be website widgets, Google Apps and applications for the iPhone or iTouch. Clients will get a NDA agreement, all artwork and coding and any other associated files. Basically, everything is yours to keep to do as you see fit.

Why are we only offering this for new SEO Service for local clients?

The reasons for this are simple.  First, Atlanta and the entire state of Georgia has been hit harder than other parts of the country by the slow economy. We want to be a part of helping companies hit hard in our area rebuild.

The second reason is obvious.  It is easier to work with clients when you can actually meet with about seo, internet marketing and seo web design projects.

The final reason is we have neglected the local seo market for the past two years and allowed other seo companies to get a footing in the local Atlanta seo market. I didn’t care for a long time, but now I do. I look at it as a challenge that I am confident we can handle!

The Affordable SEO ads will only run until January 1st 2010. By then we should dominate once again and I will produce the scans to show it.

Google Insights for search now has graphs of your search results you can add to your own website. We also use scripts for presentations by creating special pages. We of course used the search term SEO for our sample. Click on the script below to take you to the actual Google Insights search for the term SEO.  You can add it to your iGoogle page if you wish to track term over a long period without having to constantly check. I prefer Insights because Google has tons of great data.

Well Yahoo and Bing stuck a deal to tackle Google together. The deal was approved about a week ago and it looks like Bing will be the winner. From what I have read Yahoo is going to be focused more on the paid search and ads space side of things. While Bing will lead natural search, witch makes sense.  In my opinion Bing’s search engine is better than Google for most searches, Google serves up way too much Wiki.

Even though the two pronged approach is smart Yahoo and Bing will have to step up the services to compete with Big G. Google’s services are just too good but Yahoo may be up to the services challenge. Anyway I think the competition will be good for users and a little healthy competition is always good for all parties involved.

We will have tips for how to optimize for the two after more light is shed on the deals structure.

SEO Services for Google, Yahoo and Bing.

Yahoo’s site explorer has always been a better source for information on website links. Recently I noticed that things are starting to change with Yahoo Site Explorer. It left me wondering if they might change the system? Maybe a potential partner, Bing or even Google working on algorithm? Who knows with the last few test. I am referring to Yahoo using Google’s search technologies for paid search. I hope that Yahoo and Bing combine but to really compete they are going need more than a search engine, tools, apps, all the cool stuff Google offers.

That does not appear to be the case. It was my tools being blocked and showing incorrect data. Search engines often do this when queries from seo’s cause a strain to the old system. I upgraded to the new FireFox today, updated plug-ins and SEO Quake. Everything is working again except the Yahoo index show zero but manual search shows over ten pages or 100 plus pages.

The links and link to domains show close to the same numbers but are a bit lower, somethings changed? We will see what happens over the next few weeks and write a new post on our discoveries.

SEO Marketing Purchases a New Website, Theappssite.com

We purchased a new domain name to put our test applications on for the Iphone. We got a great new domain name www.theappssite.com. We intend to make this a site not just for Iphone apps,  but hacks, tweaks and how to videos. The first couple of apps we develop will be free for testing and the rest we should have on our site as well as the Apple Store.

The design of the new site began today and will have that Mac / Apple feel to it. We are still evaluating the best software for developing iphone applications, Unity 2.5 seems to be our favorite so far. They have made a ton of improvements with Unity 2.5. Anyway, the software trial runs out this weekend so we will be started by then.

Now I am not saying to forget the others just to optimize for Bing as much as you would for Google. As I touched on before Bing visitors and traffic will be significantly lower than Google but the quality of leads is much better. Google is great for bringing in the masses but you want sales not visitors. If you optimize for Bing and Google first and Yahoo and ASK secondary you should be fine.

The other big advantage besides the promotion aspect is it’s easy to optimize your site for both Google and Bing without conflict because their algorithms are similar. It has really us connect with quality clients that are great to work for and increase our overall sales. Try it for a month, it may help your business make it through these bad economic times.
